This is one of my
favourite second series models. The chassis price
alone when the actual car was first produced in
1911, was £485. By 1915 its power had increased
and so had the cost which had risen to £565.
Even so, many of these elegant and fast cars were
sold. The 'Prince Henry' refers to Prince Henry
of Prussia, who was an avid motor sport fan.
The beautifully
detailed large spoked wheels suit the vehicle
perfectly. This model is quite easy to find at
anything between £10 and £40. The model with a
copper petrol tank rather than the more common
brass is very rare so expect to pay more than
£100 for this issue.
