This AEC lorry was
first produced in 1916 and production continued
until around 1921. However these vehicles could
be seen on the roads of England well into the
1930's.
This Yesteryear is
quite a crude first series model but, as with
other first series models, it has a certain
charm.
The vehicle has a
driver which is the same colour as the body. This
model is mostly found in a dark or light grey.
Extremely rare examples can be found in pale or
mid blue. These blue models are very hard to find
and can reach a staggering £1600. Most other
issues can be found between £100 and £200 for
mint boxed examples. However, this first series
model was one of the examples that had its wheels
replaced with those of plastic from the Matchbox
1-75 range at the end of the production life.
These are also extremely rare and can fetch over
£1000.
