The
model's body was always made from metal and
sprayed with lead free paint which was then oven
baked. The colours used cause controversy with
collectors. Many models after the first series
sported rather unrealistic colour schemes.
However, it must be remembered that the models
were seen at the time as toys for children and
the colours were chosen by the designers as
'infant attractors'! |
